    Superb

I went to Bournemouth to see Ringo Starr at the bic and chose the Glendevon as it is just a few minutes walk from the venue at a reasonable price. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was basic but clean and tidy and a good breakfast was provided next morning. There is slightly cheaper accomodation in the area but from what I have read this hotel is of a higher standard. Overall I would recomend the Glendevon for a short budget stay.

Although this is an excellent hotel, I would only stay here again for a short break. The problem is doors banging as people come and go, this went on until at least 2am and started up again at dawn. I put this down to inconsiderate guests but when I left my room next morning - I had to slam the door to make it close! So a good hotel for heavy sleepers.

    Good

    Friendly staff

When we got back to the hotel after a meal out we thought we would have a drink in the bar but it was shut. Also did not get much sleep as there was lots of drunken men coming home at all hours of the night!!

    Exceptional

The Twin room I stayed in was very clean and tidy and just spacious enough for us. Kind hotel reception staff and breakfast was good and ample.

    Fabulous

The individual service made you feel special. The fantastic breakfast.

A couple arrived at 6.45am and were very noisey. They were joined by friends after around 10 minutes. No consideration for other guests sleeping.

    Fabulous

Great stay, no hairdryer in room but borrowed one from reception. Great choice of things for breakfast.

Decor was very dated but whole room was clean (except a dusty lampshade).

    Superb

I stayed at the Glendevon for three nights and would like to say how pleasant my visit was. The owner (Bill) was kind enough to wait for me being a late arrival, and was able to arrange early breakfasts (eggs on toast) to ensure I got to my conference on time. I found my room tidy and clean. The shower was really nice too. It's only a short walk to the Bournemouth International Centre and a fraction of the cost of some of the nearer hotels. There was enough room in the hotel car park for me to leave my car in for the duration of my stay. Bill also recommended a really good indian restaurant called the 'Eye of the Tiger' on Old Christchurch Road which is also well worth a visit

The music in the restaurant was a tad cheesey - think Spandau Ballet, Neil Diamond etc - but in a fun way - I think the chef likes it :)

    Superb

The room was a really good size and had everything you needed for a night. The breakfast was delicious. All in all was a great stay and good value for money.

    Fabulous

Friendly staff, sufficient lighting in the rooms.

The bed is too soft & worn out.

Hotel was basic but comfortable but the staff were ever so friendly and helpful :)

    Good

A full English breakfast was included in the price, there were quite a few options. The reception staff was very nice. Close to the sea, not so close to the shops.

The room was really tiny and a bit shabby (no back in the closet, bath made of plastic that would fall out at times).

The Breakfast was excellent, dining room staff were very courteous and efficient, shower was very good

The hotel was not manned at night,( no night staff therefore security was non existent) we were disappointed because the hotel advertises a bar and entertainment but there was no entertainment and the bar was permanently closed !! not really a hotel but a glorified B+B. I would not book this hotel again.

    Superb

The room was basic but comfortable and clean, the staff - especially Bill, were friendly and very helpful. Within easy reach of the shops and beach and off-road parking - very important in Bournemouth!

Can't think of anything I didn't like about the Glendevon Hotel.

    Superb

The friendy and helpful staff,my staff also included a excellent full english breakfast in the price. Great value. The Hotel was a great location with a very short walk to the town centre shops,

Rooms cold have been a bit more modern in design, however they had everything I wanted and would have also had 15/20 or more years ago. But were still clean and tidy.
